Veronica Doran, DNP, PMHNP-BC
Veronica Doran is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP- BC) who works mainly with children and adolescents but she is trained to see young adults as well.
Dr. Doran had 18 years of experience working in an inpatient setting with children, adolescents and their families. Her experiences in mental health care throughout the lifespan in the inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient settings has helped her develop a rich understanding of the unique challenges in this population. This, combined with a broad background in academia, has contributed to her practice approach from an evidenced-based perspective. Her expertise lies in a holistic approach to the mental health care of children, adolescents, and young adults including, but not limited to, a comprehensive review of medication options, non-pharmacological options, and the building of strong relationships with the entire care team. Dr. Doran is currently working toward her certification in nutritional psychiatry.
Dr. Doran received her BSN from Marymount University and her master’s in nursing education and her DNP from George Mason University.
